Key to Success: Not all graduating high school seniors have such solid plans like Dacula High School’s Adnan Junuzovic, but the boys’ soccer captain and student council member knows exactly what he wants to be doing after high school.

Junuzovic is committed to attending Georgia Southern University in the fall on a soccer scholarship and will be entering the education program with the goal of eventually becoming a high school social studies teacher. But before he settles into a career off the field, Junuzovic has some bigger plans.

“My number one priority is finishing college and hopefully getting drafted by the MLS or playing professionally in Europe,” he said.

The Falcons’ star was one of only 77 high school soccer players named to the 2010 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-America Team, but says the distinction is a credit to head coach Michael Burrell and his teammates for being so supportive.

Junuzovic also said that he would like to follow in Burrell’s footsteps, both in teaching high school and in coaching soccer. Junuzovic coaches young children with the Gwinnett Soccer Association and says it’s a great passion for him.

“I help out the GSA and coach young kids,” he said. “That’s something I like to do – help out with the little kids.”
