Students, faculty, staff, and community members are invited to Harmony Elementary’s 90th Birthday Celebration on April 4, at 2 p.m. The event will take place in the gym. 

‘Kiss the Lama’

Duncan Creek Elementary will host an event, “Kiss the Llama” on April 3, to raise money for cancer research. Students will donate a $1 to vote for the teacher to kiss a llama on April 3 at 9:30 a.m. Contributions will benefit Relay for Life.

Ft. Daniel’s 20 Years

The faculty and staff of Fort Daniel Elementary invite the community to celebrate 20 years of academic excellence on March 30, from 2 to 4 p.m. with past, present, and future students, staff, and their families in attendance. A short program will be held in the cafeteria beginning at 3 p.m. For more information, call 770-932-7400.

Kindergarten Registration

Gwinnett elementary schools invite families to Kindergarten Registration on April 24. Kindergarten registration is held at the local school. If you are not sure of which school your child will attend, call the Planning Department at 678-301-7085. Parents and guardians of children who will be five years old on or before September 1, 2014, are invited to register their children for the 2014-15 school year on this day. Parents may call the school for registration times and should bring the following documents for registering your child; an official document showing proof of birth date; evidence of vision, hearing, dental exams, and nutrition screening obtained in the past year (a current Georgia Form #3300); a valid certificate of immunization (Georgia Form #3231); proof that you live in the attendance zone; proof of custody or guardianship, if not the birth parent; the child’s social security number (or you may sign a waiver at the school); and a photo ID for the adult registering the child. Additional information may be viewed on the system website www.gwinnett.k12.ga.us.
