Grow Your Own Food Festival

Interested in learning how to grow your own food?

The Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center (GEHC) will host a  "Grow Your Own – the REAL Local Food Festival" at the Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center on Saturday, March 31, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

“Grow Your Own will provide some great information and serve as a guide to leaning about backyard gardening,” said Jason West, GEHC director of programming and development, in a released statement.

The festival will include presentations and workshops on topics such as backyard chickens, vegetable gardening, composting, farmers’ markets and local food restaurants.  The event will also include children's activities such as crafts, seed planting, worm composting and more.

Check the www.gwinnettEHC.org website for the schedule of events.  This festival is included with Center admission and is free for GEHC membe
