Single Parent Family Conference Scheduled for Jan. 28

“Connect and Grow,” a single parent family conference sponsored by community supporters with the Gwinnett Neighborhood Leadership Institute (GNLI) will focus on issues currently affecting healthy lifestyles for so many families during this time – communication, health and finance.

Workshop speakers will provide interactive workshops and demonstrations on healthy cooking, exercise, financial management, entrepreneurship and effective communication; completion of a 21 Days to Success practical application challenge culminates with an achievement celebration in February.

The conference will be held Saturday, Jan. 28 at Meadowcreek High School, 4455 Steve Reynolds Blvd. in Norcross, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Breakfast, lunch and childcare for ages 5 and under provided. 

Presenting organizations include: Emory Eastside Hospital, Gwinnett County Extension Service, Loving Hut, CEPTA, Eagle 7 WAIT Program, Gwinnett County Schools Educational Consultant, Community Bank, The Bizlinks Center, Certified Zumba Instructors and Visionary People.
