After School and Evening Activities Cancelled for GCPS
GCPS has been monitoring the weather and road conditions during the day.

As a winter storm moved into the metro Atlanta area earlier today, Gwinnett County Public Schools officials took a wait and see approach regarding early dismissal.
GCPS posted the following on the school system's Facebook page this morning:
GCPS is having school today. Leaders continue to monitor the weather and road conditions. If there is a decision regarding the school day or afterschool activities, we will post it here, on the website, and notify metro news media outlets.
At approximately 12:30 p.m., GCPS posted the following update:
All Gwinnett County Public Schools' afterschool and evening activities are cancelled for tonight.
Neighboring Barrow County Schools made a decision this morning to release students early in anticipation of inclement weather moving into the area.
Gwinnett County is currently under a winter storm warning. The warning will be in effect from 9 a.m. Tuesday until 7 a.m. Wednesday. Snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches are possible.
