Hebron Players Earn All-American Honors, MCHS Key Club Preparing for Service Project

A look at recent and upcoming events in Dacula area schools.

Here's a look at upcoming events, recent news and accomplishments in our area schools:

  • Tuesday, April 12 at 7:30 p.m. the will take place at , this concert will feature students from , , and , and .  Admission is free.  Non-perishable food items will be accepted.
  • The Key Club and more than 25 local partners will hold their .  Students will remove invasive plants and clean up litter in the park on Saturday, April 16 from 11-3 p.m.
  • is scheduled for Saturday, April 16 at the Aurora Theatre in Lawrenceville
  • High School Students will read to youth at the on Sunday, April 17 from 1-3 p.m.
  • l has scheduled graduation for Friday, May 27 at 8 p.m.
  • baseball players Lockhart and Burgee Earn High School All-American Honors
  • is holding its Thursday, April 14 from 4:30-6 p.m.
  • South Gwinnett High is hosting a Chess Championship for all GCPS high school students interested.  The event will take place on April 16 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.  There is no charge, students should pre-register by email to Kirk_buis@gwinnett.k12.ga.us.  Open registration will take place on the day of the tournament from 8:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.
  • Cluster Students Grades K-8 are invited to register for the K-8 Student Literacy Institute that will run July 25-28 from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. contact Melanie_Mount@gwinnett.k12.ga.us
  • Last week April 4-8 was Spring Break for the Gwinnett County School System.
