MCHS Exceeds Enrollment Forecast, Remains Largest High School in Gwinnett

School exceeded enrollment forecast by 38 students.

The final 2013-2014 enrollment count for Gwinnett County Public Schools shows Mill Creek High School remains the largest high school in Gwinnett. 

Mill Creek currently has 3,721 students, which is 38 more than forecast. Dacula High School also exceeded the enrollment forecast. The expected enrollment for DHS was 1,842, but, as of Sept. 3, the school had 1,905 enrolled. Mountain View and Archer also passed enrollment expectations with 2,019 (5 above forecast) and 2,313 (75 above forecast) students respectively.


The school system as a whole is 2,029 students above forecast. GCPS’ total enrollment currently stands at 168,696.

Of the GCPS middle schools, Hull Middle in Duluth leads school system enrollment with 2,290 students. The final enrollment count showed Dacula Middle School with 1,523 (49 under forecast) and Osborne Middle with 1,639 students (16 over forecast). Twin Rivers currently has 1,518 students (44 more than forecast).

As of the final enrollment count, Nesbit Elementary had the most students of any GCPS elementary school with 1,948. In the Dacula area, the Sept. 3 enrollment count showed Dacula Elementary with 1,207 students, Duncan Creek with 1,132, Dyer with 771, Fort Daniel with 673, Harbins with 888, Mulberry with 584, Puckett's Mill with 987 and Alcova with 1,054.
