What? Were Dacula Schools Snubbed in Best High School Rankings?

Only seven schools from Gwinnett County made the U.S. News & World Report list.

Gwinnett County scored the No. 3 school on the 2014 Best High School Rankings by U.S. News & World Report.

But perhaps most noticeable was the absence of many Gwinnett schools in the rankings, including those which draw students from the Dacula area.

Gwinnett School of Math, Science and Technology in Lawrenceville also was ranked No. 1 in Georgia, but only seven Gwinnett schools made state and national rankings.

U.S. News awarded gold, silver and bronze medals based on state assessments and college preparation. Gold and silver medalists made the rankings; others received national recognition.

Gwinnett schools earning gold- or silver-medal distinction from U.S. News, and were ranked nationally and in Georgia: Gwinnett School of Math, Science, & Technology, ranked first in Georgia (third in U.S.); Norcross, 18th (507th); Parkview, 19th (562nd); Duluth, 25th (852nd); Collins Hill, 27th (992nd); Central Gwinnett, 30th (1,054th); Buford, 33rd (1,171st).
