Young Football Quarterback Wins With Teamwork
Athlete of the week Aiden Larson is a determined player that works well with teammates.
Aiden Larson plays quarterback, receiver and running back for the Pirates I-9 flag football team. His coach and father, Matt Larson is very proud of his son’s ability to work well with his teammates.
“Aiden wants to win, but wants everyone to be involved,” Larson wrote in an emailed response to questions. “He is always willing to do whatever to help the team.”
According to Larson, one of Aiden's most admirable characteristics is his genuine respect for his team mates.

“I am proud of him as a son and as a player,” Larson emailed. “He is respectful and always is excited and the first to congratulate others when they do something good.”
One of Aiden’s major achievements this year is learning the important skills of the quarterback position.

“He has developed into a smart quarterback able to misdirect the defense to open up players,” Larson added.
