LHS Clint Frazier Receives Prestigious Jackie Robinson Award

Loganville High School baseball player Clint Frazier received the 2012 Jackie Robinson Award in San Diego on Sunday.

head back to class Monday, but   will miss the first day of his senior year. He will be on his way back from San Diego with the prestigious Jackie Robinson Award.

According to Perfectgame.org, Frazier stole the show at the Perfect Game All-American Classic Award Dinner in San Diego Sunday. Ranked the No. 1 prospect for 2013, Frazier received the Jackie Robinson Award given annually to the Perfect Game National Player of the Year.

The humble 17-year-old from Loganville continues to rack up accolades for his skill on the baseball field. It was following his performance at the Perfect Game National Showcase in Minneapolis over the summer that Frazier was named the No. 1 prospect for 2013. Frazier reportedly has already committed to the University of Georgia.

Although Frazier is expected to be back in the classroom for the rest of the week, come the weekend he will head out again. He has been chosen to play in the 2012 Under Armour All-American Baseball Game at Wrigley Field in Chicago  on Aug. 18.

"Frazier hit .431 with 24 home runs and 61 RBI his junior season at Loganville High School, but it wasn't until his performance at the Perfect Game National Showcase in Minneapolis in mid-June that he rose to the No. 1 spot in the national rankings."  Perfect Game
