Crosstown Rivals Face Off This Week

It may not technically be the most important game of the season. The outcome will have absolutely no impact on either team’s regional standings. Nonetheless, Mill Creek and Dacula fans will be fired up this Friday as the .

Dacula won last year’s matchup by a score of 34-31. This year could be a different story though as . 

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at .

In other football action this week, Hebron will travel to Prince Avenue and Mountain View will take on the Black Knights of Central Gwinnett in Lawrenceville. Both games are set to begin at 7:30 p.m.

VOLLEYBALL

Dacula and Mill Creek will face each other on Tuesday, Aug. 23 . The matches begin at 4:55 p.m. at Mill Creek. 

On Thursday, Aug. 25, Dacula will travel to Lawrenceville for . First serve is set for 4 p.m.

The Lady Hawks will also be in action on Thursday. . Game time is scheduled for 4:55 p.m.

Hebron has three matches scheduled this week. The first, on Tuesday, will be a tri-meet against North Gwinnett and Roswell at North Gwinnett. Matches start at 5 p.m. On Thursday, the Lady Lions will travel to Winder for matches against Apalachee High School and Madison County. On Saturday, Aug. 27, Hebron will travel to Wesleyan for matches against ELCA, OLM, Holy Innocents and Westminster. Play begins at 9 a.m.

Mountain View will play at Archer High School on Tuesday, Aug. 23 at 6 p.m. The Lady Bears be in Duluth on Thursday for a 5 p.m. match against the Lady Wildcats and at Brookwood on Saturday for an 8 a.m. meet against the Lady Broncos.

CROSS COUNTRY

Cross country meets begin this week for Dacula, Mill Creek and Mountain View.

The Mill Creek boys will compete Saturday, Aug. 27 in Duluth at the Stage Races while the girls travel to Athens for the Northeast Georgia Invitational at Athens Christian. Dacula and Mountain View will also compete at the Invitational in Athens.

SOFTBALL

The Lady Falcons will take the field today as they host Greater Atlanta Christian. First pitch is set for 5:55 p.m. Dacula has a busy week with a 5:55 p.m. , a 5:30 p.m. and a 7 p.m. .

Mill Creek will also be in action Tuesday through Thursday. The Lady , travel to and will head to . Tuesday’s game begins at 5:45 p.m.; the Collins Hill and Norcross games will start at 5:55 p.m.

Hebron will play at home this week with a game against Providence today at 5 p.m. and .

Mountain View will be on the road this week traveling to North Gwinnett today and Peachtree Ridge tomorrow. First pitch for both games is set for 5:55 p.m.
