American Radio Relay League's Annual Field Day Emergency Communications Contest
This Saturday and Sunday the Amateur Radio(Ham Radio)operators will participate in the American Radio Relay League's annual field day emergency communications exercise/contest. Here in Dacula there will be a group of hams who run only 5 watts or less RF power output that will be meeting. This small organization is called the North Georgia QRP Club or NoGA will be setting up antennas and radio gear on Saturday at 10 a.m. Field Day starts at 2 p.m. and lasts for 24 hours. The object is to contact as many other Amateur Radio Field Day stations as possible during this period. This group will primarily be running Morse Code and possibly one phone station.
