Former Gwinnett County Commissioner Not Hurt in Explosions at Boston Marathon

Reports from friends and family of former Gwinnett District 3 Commissioner Mike Beaudreau are that he finished the race and is safe. Three runners from Dacula were also listed as race entrants.

Reports and pictures from the reported explosions at the Boston Marathon today are coming in via Twitter and Facebook. In the local area, former Gwinnett County District 3 Commissioner Mike Beaudreau is reported to be safe. He was in Boston competing in the Boston Marathon. Friends reported on Facebook that he has sent a text to his wife notifying her that he had already completed the race and was safe.

According to the Boston Marathon entrants page, three runners from Dacula competed in this year's race: Dawn Graeser, Steven Reynolds and Ami Roach. According to posts on the Dacula Patch Facebook page, all three are safe.
