Four Hawks Make College Cheerleading Squads
MCHS cheerleaders advance through highly competitive tryouts to become cheerleaders at college.
On May 23, coaches, friends and family of four senior cheerleaders gathered to celebrate a major accomplishment. McKenzie Cantrell, Jessy Knight, Ashleigh Lamb and MacKenzie Stokes have been selected to cheer on college squads. The squad selections are as follows:
- McKenzie Cantrell will cheer on the all-girls squad at the University of Alabama.
- Jessy Knight was selected for the co-ed squad at Shelton State Community College in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
- Ashleigh Lamb will join fellow Mill Creek High School graduate Holly Beth Hodges on the co-ed squad at the University of West Georgia.
- Mackenzie Stokes will join fellow Mill Creek High School graduate Shannon Young on the co-ed squad at the University of Georgia.
