Get Ready for an Exciting Year of Hawks Football

Head Coach Jarvis outlines his expectations for the season.

You know you are in for an exciting year of football when you hear comments like high expectations, a great off season and returning players from the head coach.

“Like any year, we have high expectations for our team.” head coach said. “We had a great off season and are off to a great start. We also have a lot of returning players from last year's winning team.”

Coach Jarvis did not single out any one upcoming game as the most important. With only four spots in the regional playoffs, all games play a vital role on the path to a post season appearance.

“With teams battling it out for the four regional spots, all games are critical in our region,” he said. “With that said, our first regional games between Mountain View and Norcross will be critical games at the start of the season.”

But what about the good, old community rivalry between Mill Creek and Dacula?

“Our game against the Dacula Falcons is an important one for the program and our community,” Jarvis said.  “I believe would have the same response.”

But it is not just the rivalry that makes this a great game. When the Hawks and the Falcons play, it makes for an exciting night of football.

“It is a great game with great atmosphere,” Jarvis said. “Both teams give their best, and the game usually always comes down to the last few minutes.”

Jarvis also had a few words of thanks for Hawks football fans.

“Our Mill Creek fans exceeded expectations last year with their support. We are looking forward to their continued support again this year," he said. “As coaches, we recognize the importance of this support, and our response is to put a product on and off the field that they will be proud of."
