Hawk/Bulldog Invitational Tournament This Week

Dacula and Mill Creek to participate.

Softball gets into full swing this week with all of our local teams in action. will host Mountain View on Tuesday, Aug. 16 with the first pitch set for 5:55 p.m.

takes on George Walton at home on Aug. 16 and will host Athens Christian on Thursday, Aug. 18. Both games are set to begin at 4:45 p.m.

's Lady Falcons have a busy week ahead with a 6 p.m. game on Aug. 16 at Norcross and, along with Mill Creek, will wrap up the week at the Hawk/Bulldog Invitational Tournament, which runs from Wednesday, Aug. 17 through Saturday, Aug. 20.

VARSITY VOLLEYBALL

Mill Creek’s volleyball team is off to a 2-3 start after this past weekend’s Sequoyah Classic. The Lady Hawks defeated Kell and Kennesaw Mountain, but lost two matches to Columbus and one to Sandy Creek.

Mill Creek goes back into action on Tuesday against Greater Atlanta Christian and Eagles Landing at GAC. Games begin at 4:55 p.m.

Hebron’s first match of the season will be tomorrow in Jefferson. The Lady Lions will take on George Walton and Jefferson beginning at 6 p.m. On Thursday, Hebron will head to Winder-Barrow High School to take on the Lady Bulldogs and Jefferson. The matches start at 5 p.m.

The Lady Falcons will also start their regular season tomorrow with matches against West Forsyth, Brookwood and Forsyth Central at West Forsyth. The action begins at 5 p.m. On Thursday, Dacula will travel to North Gwinnett for matches against Chamblee, Johns Creek and North Gwinnett. Play gets underway at 5 p.m.

 

VARSITY FOOTBALL

After losing last Friday’s scrimmage to Colquitt County, the Falcons must now turn their attention to Norcross. Dacula will play at Blue Devil stadium this Thursday, Aug. 18, at 7:30 p.m.

Mill Creek and Hebron will have another week to prepare for their season openers. On Aug. 26, the Hawks travel to Dacula and the Lions head to Prince Avenue. Both games are scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
