My 16 Basic Beliefs to Obtain Great Health

If government guidelines on health do not produce great health results, what are the alternatives?

 

  1. OUR BODIES ARE “MIRACLES” THAT ARE PROGRAMMED TO BE HEALTHY AND WITH GREAT POWERS OF REPAIR AND REJUVENATION
  2. THE QUALITY OF OUR LONG TERM HEALTH IS PREDOMINANTLY DETERMINED BY OUR “LIFESTYLE”, NOT OUR GENES
  3. WE ARE OUR BEST “DOCTORS” AND IT IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO TAKE CHARGE OF OUR OWN HEALTH
  4. OUR BODIES ARE DESIGNED TO BE NOURISHED WITH NATURAL, WHOLE FOOD PRODUCTS LIKE FRESH FRUITS AND VEGETABLES
  5. BEST NUTRITION PLANS CALL FOR A HIGH PERCENAGE OF CALORIES FROM RAW FOOD
  6. LOCALLY GROWN AND ORGANIC WHOLE FOOD PRODUCTS ARE BEST
  7. BEST NUTRITION PLAN GETS MAXIMUM MICRONUTRIENTS PER CALORIE CONSUMED
  8. BEST NUTRITION PLAN, INCLUDING WEIGHT CONTROL, IS TO REDUCE AMOUNT OF DAILY SUGAR/GRAINS AND INCREASE OF “GOOD FATS”, CARBS WITH HIGH FIBER AND PROTEIN
  9. GOOD QUALITY SUPPLEMENTS ARE ESSENTIAL FOR GREAT HEALTH

10.  CELLULAR NUTRITION AND CELL REPAIR CAN KEEP US FROM LONG TERM ILLNESSES

11.  WE NEED TO BE AWARE OF THE DANGERS OF MANY PHARMACEUTICAL DRUGS

12.  OUR BODIES ARE DESIGNED TO MOVE AND REGULAR, CONSISTENT EXERCISE IS ESSENTIAL FOR GOOD HEALTH

13.  THE OLDER WE GET THE HIGHER PERCENTAGE OF OUR EXERCISE NEEDS TO BE DEVOTED TO STRENGTH TRAINING

14.  THE MOST EFFECTIVE “AEROBIC” EXERCISE IS HIGH INTENSITY INTERVAL TRAINING

15.  WALKING IS ONE OF THE VERY BEST THINGS WE CAN DO FOR A HEALTHY BODY.

16.  OTHER THINGS WE NEED FOR GREAT HEALTH ARE:

  • DRINKING LOTS OF PURE WATER
  • GETTING OUR SKIN EXPOSED TO SUN
  • GETTING 8 HOURS OF SLEEP PER NIGHT
  • HAVING A METHOD TO REDUCE STRESS LEVELS IN OUR BODY
  • HAVING A POSITIVE ATTITUDE
  • REGULAR CHECK UPS AT DOCTOR, CHIROPRACTOR AND DENTIST
