A Ministry That Can Help Your Family and Others

Did you know one of our local churches currently participates as a host site for the Angel Food Ministry? Angel Food Ministry is a non-profit non-denominational organization that provides food and financial support to needy communities throughout the United States.

This program was started back in 1994 with thirty-four families from Monroe, Ga. Angel Food Ministries now crosses denominational lines and helps hundreds of thousands of families across the country. The good news of the gospel is spread by salvation tracts placed in each food box.

How does this program work? Angel Food is available in a medium sized box that cost approximately $30 per unit. The menu and items placed in the box vary each month and include both fresh and frozen items that would retail for about $60. One box of food typically feeds a family of four for approximately one week or a senior citizen for a whole month. There is no limit to the number of units a family may receive and no applications, minimums or income restrictions to participate. Everyone is welcome to benefit from this program. Order taking and delivery is handled by a local host church. currently participates in the Angel Food Ministry here in Dacula. Orders are taken the first part of the month and fulfilled at the 160,000 square foot warehouse housed by Angel Food and then the units are delivered to the host sites. If a community has a need and a truck is passing through the community, there are no added transportation costs.
