Pet Rescue Fundraiser Set for Saturday
Charity motorcycle ride to benefit Canine Pet Rescue.
A charity motorcycle ride will be held this Saturday, April 9, to raise funds to save dogs from high kill shelters.
The "Bikes, Barks and BBQ" ride will begin at 9 a.m. at the Gwinnett County Detention Center located at 2900 University Parkway in Lawrenceville. The Lawrenceville police motorcycle squad will escort the ride to Big Sky Farm/Canine Pet Rescue located at 2625 Jones Phillips Road in Dacula. Gwinnett County Sheriff Butch Conway and Carla Brown will host a BBQ at the farm from 12-2:30 p.m.
The $25 cost for riders includes a BBQ lunch and a t-shirt. Passengers may ride for $10 (includes BBQ lunch). Registration begins at 8 a.m. with a safety briefing at 8:50 a.m. The ride will arrive at the farm at approximately noon.

The event will include a silent auction, raffle, dog demonstrations, adoptions and t-shirts for sale.
