Gwinnett County Police Department - East Precinct
The Gwinnett County Police Department's East Precinct serves the City of Dacula as well as parts of Auburn, Loganville, Lawrenceville, Suwanee and Grayson. The 67 officers assigned to the precinct patrol an area of approximately 125 square miles. In 2009, Eastside officers responded to 107,816 calls, made over 1,500 arrests and issued 15,793 traffic citations. The precinct includes a Community Response Team (CRT) which provides targeted enforcement in higher crime areas. East Precinct also has a crime prevention officer who provides safety information and educational programs to the community. Several special operations units including motors, red light camera enforcement, AIU (Accident Investigation Unit) and code enforcement are based at the East Precinct.
