Dear burglars and home invaders, please be advised that I keep my doors and windows locked to keepRead More me from harming you. If you don't heed my warnings, I'll call 911, but they'll just investigate and photograph the crime scene. There will not be a reason to rush you to the ER.

This harridan should have been disbarred, and held for obstruction charges after the Vince FosterRead More affair. She had his office sealed. She broke the law.She did not have the authority to do that. She was a do nothing Senator, and an incompetent, criminally negligent Secretary of State.

She is "central" in giving the USA the reputation they have now---"step over that redRead More line and I will deny that I said that"

When you say "Senator," the term "do nothing" is already implied

Cops got a chance to play with their toys. Relax people. It's not like you had to respondRead More personally. Stop saying it's a waste of money. Then money is absolutely minimal. These guys were not called away from their golf games. I would also like to compliment the responders for not accidentally killing someone. It showed professionalism and did not add to the "trend" of killing "innocent" people; which is becoming an issues to watch. The people incensed over this should focus their anger on plastic shopping bags as many others are doing over at another great Patch piece. Evil lurks at the checkout counters across America!

Not only did she 'turn a blind eye', she tried to SUE Defacs a few weeks or so after thisRead More happened....for millions! She thought her cash boat had arrived! As IF she knew nothing that was going on! Just as scummy as the parents in my opinion.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday upheld Michigan's ban on affirmative action in college admissions.
Jeanne April 23, 2014 at 02:09 pm
Wouldn't the fairest admission to University be judged completely by scholastic ability ? ThatRead More would mean not accepting students because of sex, color, class, ethnicity, or prior connection to the school. The college population might become a little "lopsided," but wouldn't the result be more intelligent young people to go on to graduate school ? America, and the general public would benefit because in our midst would be the best scientists, doctors, instructors, etc. for us to call upon ? Our country would become stronger still, which seems to become more urgent with every passing day.

Black Panther, the music industry? Really? You consider a bunch of misogynist, foul mouth rappersRead More "innovative and talented"? Where do you live?
"The Black Panther of Poetry" April 23, 2014 at 03:26 pm
Kevin, yes the music Industry!!!! Really? Rock and Roll is an African-American prodigy. YourRead More Beatles and your Elvis(king of Rock and Roll, lol) and your Rolling Stones are just USURPERS and MALEFACTORS of that which was and is from THE AFRICAN-AMERICAN experience. For me to explain this to you and your like, speaks volumes about who and what I am dealing with and who really in the end will need AFFIRMATIVE ACTION!!!!

@ David Montgomery >> "Christianity is not a religion. It's a relationship." •Read More The same way you want to have your relationship with your Christian god, I want to have a relationship with the person I deem to hold the most importance in my life. You are free to keep your "relationship", but stay out of mine.
Mike April 23, 2014 at 03:18 pm
Couldn't have said it better than you did with that last comment amy2go. Of course the christianRead More will discount your relationship because you're a sinner and sinners are demon haunted or whatever Pat Robertson is espousing these days. That's one of the main problems with this "religion" called christianity. They've had 3,000 years to come up with every possible counter argument. For free thinkers, well, up until the advent of the internet in the early 1990s, free thinkers were in the closet because of a long and storied history of "Christians" burning them alive, chopping their heads off, or at the very least making their lives as miserable as possible so that they (free thinkers) had to stay in the closet to exist. Sort of exactly the same thing that "christians" did to gay people until recently as well.
Chris P April 23, 2014 at 03:30 pm
jMichael Q3 Please refer to the copy of the Ten Commandments that is in the Supreme Court Building.Read More This country was founded on a Judeo/Christian world view, please refer to the Declaration of Independence. Q4. As you well know the US Constitution only deals with the Federal Government. To that point lying, cheating, stealing and killing are not mentioned either and they are considered sin. Q5. There was no debate in Massacusetts, plus an attempt to get the state legislature into a Constitutional Convention precisely for the reason of creating an amendment to clearly define marriage was continously thwarted. For the record the chief justice of the Mass Supreme court was activist in the gay rights movement and in favor of gay marriage. That fact alone should have required her to recuse herself from the case. Hers was the deciding vote. Later an attempt by the Good people of Massachusetts to put the question of gay marriage on the ballot was thwarted by the governor himself despite the fact that the initiative received more than double the required signatures. So no the public has been shut out from this debate.
Everyday Mathematics is just one of the programs that makes a heck of a lot of $ off of the millions of textbooks sold to schools that teach to the 'Core.' The Common Core isn't just restricting for teachers & students, it's lining people's pockets.

Stating that the history books are anti US and pro global without any proof is very misleading. WhenRead More I was going to school we had classes about world history and separate classes about US history. So of course some textbooks about the history of the world might not mention the United States. It didn't exist yet.
Matt Miller April 23, 2014 at 03:05 pm
Comments like "back when I was in school" are completely laughable. I don't brag aboutRead More beating my kid in a foot race because I'm faster then he is. So why should me being able to solve a math problem faster then him mean that the new way doesn't work? I've been using math for decades and he'll be just beginning to learn it. Of course I'm going to know the answer before him. Also, what's wrong with setting higher standards for our kids? When I was in school my "reading and basic learning level" was always a grade or two above my actual grade level. It's easier for them to learn new things when they are younger then it is when they're older.

Netflix is hands down the best deal going, and it has been a bargain for YEARS. I guess theRead More nonsensical whiners who complain about a long-delayed, $2 a MONTH increase are worried it will cost them a (partial) SINGLE LATTE. Utterly ridiculous.

FOR THOSE WHO LIKE AMAZON PRIME OVER NETFLIX: Here's an interesting article from today (23 Apr 2014)Read More about how Amazon Prime just got HBO to stream at least some of its older content, plus "HBO GO," to Amazon's new Fire TV box, thereby making NetFlix upset because NetFlix (nor any other streaming service, including HULU) has never been able to get any HBO content; and so Amazon has scored a real coup! I don't believe this kid is competent enough to make those decisions. Those kids need to beRead More prosecuted to the fullest and if the does judge does not agree he needs to step down.

Sorry, Autistic boy, but there are a multitude of crimes here. These so called 'friends' abused youRead More terribly ~ called 'bullying', & that alone cannot be tolerated. Then, there is animal cruelty involved, another terrible crime, plus, harassment of all kinds, leudness, & who knows what else. These 'friends' need to be charged & made aware of the seriousness of their deeds, punished accordingly & helped through proper mental councelling.

I agree with B. Dub 100%! How was this kid able to scale a fence and just walk right over to theRead More plane? TSA: for all the harassing you do in the terminal...you ain't all that!! As far as the kid being a runaway..maybe he does face some serious abuse issues at home. He's damn lucky to be alive. But, I raised three boys, and a 16 year old boy can runaway for any collage of reasons. My kids never ran away but, I'm wondering if the fact that the plane was going to HAWAII has anything to do with it. It sounds a little compulsive to me. CPA need good follow up on this. Thank you lucky stars kid!

There are two separate issues here. The first and certainly the most obvious is security failure.Read More The second is to determine what is in the best interest of the teen, as well as the public.. He needs a psych eval, at the very least. Then again, so does most of the public.

I'm so sick of bleeding hearts thinking that prison is good enough for these psychos! I just do notRead More understand the mentality that if we, as a society, condone the death penalty that we are somehow barbaric, sick or vengeful. What is wrong with you??? Do you really think it makes us a better society for continuing to support people like this killer for the rest of their lives? Do you understand how much money that costs our country EVERY DAY? I understand that perhaps you feel that there are some innocent people sitting in prison right now and, for those few, we need to be cautious in exacting final justice. However, this psycho admitted that he did it...described it in detail...he is guilty...there is no doubt about that. Furthermore, there is NO...let me repeat that...NO help for him. There is no amount of rehabilitation, no drug, no shock therapy, no surgery, no magic drink...NOTHING...that will help him or change him. I have worked in a correctional setting for many years...with some of the worst criminals in history...(who, by the way, have since been executed)...I have seen them on a daily basis, talked to them, listened to them, watched their daily actions. Trust me when I tell you, there is NOTHING that will change them and I have not lost one second of sleep over their executions...in fact, the opposite is true...I sleep better knowing they are GONE...gone permanently...not just 'put away' for a while. I understand that you think you are being compassionate...you are not. It is a service to society, in soooo many ways, to be rid of them. THEY are the true animals...let me take that back...they aren't even animals...I have two dogs...they have never hurt anyone...I value their lives more than any one of these sick individuals. I can't call them people, I can't call them animals...both are above what they are. There really is no name for it...but I will assure you...they have NO place in society...even in an incarcerated society. Judge me if you will...call me harsh if you must...my opinion comes from seeing and knowing...and you can take my statements how ever you wish...but I know what I know...and you can take that to the bank.
