MCHS Key Club Hosts Inaugural Reindeer Run
Proceeds from the 5K run and pancake breakfast will benefit the American Cancer Society.
More than 150 runners braved near freezing temperatures last Saturday to participate in the first Mill Creek High School Key Club 5K Reindeer Run. The MCHS Key Club, in partnership with the North Gwinnett Kiwanis Club and Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church, organized the road race and pancake breakfast to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. The idea for the fundraiser originated with MCHS Key Club member Chelsea Cierski. Cierski's mother, Diana, was diagnosed with cancer in April. Cierski said her mother's goal was to run in a 5K race, and she wanted to make that possible.
