Police Nab Armed Robbery Suspect
GCPD detectives use traffic pullover information to track down Derrick Cage, 28, of Snellville. Police believe he may be responsible for 15 armed robberies in Gwinnett County.
A man believed to be responsible for a series of armed robberies throughout Gwinnett County is now in custody. Derrick Cage, 28, of Snellville was arrested at his home without incident Jan. 17. Last week, Gwinnett County Police released video surveillance footage and stills in an effort to identify an armed robbery suspect who had primarily targeted cell phone stores but had also robbed two appliance stores, a tobacco shop, and attempted a robbery at a Days Inn. On multiple occasions, the suspect had been seen fleeing the scene in a silver 2006-2010 Dodge Charger with a sun roof and stock chrome wheels.
