Here is a recipe inspired by a visit with Grandma.
We recently took a quick trip to visit my husband’s grandmother who lives in South Georgia (and is the reigning chief chef in the family) and she made Grandma’s Famous Homemade Waffles for breakfast. That got me thinking about how these days most of us probably don’t make homemade anything for breakfast. We grab some frozen boxed items, microwave them and feed everyone on the way out the door. I know I am guilty of that and sometimes I don’t feel too good about it, especially when 1-2 hours after breakfast the kids are complaining about how hungry they are and I know it is because they ate a quick fix no-work-for-me breakfast that morning.
