Two Dacula Men Arrested in Area Auto Theft, Break-Ins

Police charged the Dacula men and a suspected accomplice after finding them hidden in a subdivison's woods.

Three men, two from Dacula, were arrested in Buford's Deer Creek Trail subdivision early July 19 after residents reported suspicious activity. According to a GCPD report, Police were notified by concerned residents of a black male wearing a white T-shirt and dark jeans walking up and down the streets at 3:50 a.m. Police responding to the call located a red Jeep Liberty parked on the wrong side of the road. This car was later identified as a stolen vehicle from the Dacula area. The report says officers staked out the location and remained in the area of the subdivision, which led to the arrest of one of the suspects. Police Investigate Car Break-ins

Vehicles entered in Hamilton Mill and Lake Park subdivisions.

Gwinnett County Police responded to several car break-ins during the past week. At least eight incidents of entering auto were reported between Dec. 17 and Dec. 23. On Dec. 17, a report of entering auto was made in the 1800 block of Ridgemill Terrace in Hamilton Mill. According to the police report, the vehicle was unlocked at the time of the incident. The victim's debit card was stolen and used twice before it was deactivated. The victim reported the theft of several other credit cards and a driver's license as well. Two days later, another vehicle break-in was reported in the 1100 block of Auburn Road. On Dec. 23, three reports of entering auto were made on Park Valley Way in the Lake Park subdivision.
