GCPD Hosting Crime Prevention Program for Children

Weeklong class will be offered at Hebron Baptist Church in Dacula.

Suwanee parents can take advantage of a program offered by Gwinnett Police, which patrols the unincorporated area of the city. Children ages 5 to 12 are invited to attend a free, personal empowerment program.. The 10-hour radKIDS program includes lessons on home safety, school safety, personal safety and more. The lessons include a mixture of classroom instruction and physical activity taught over a 5-day period. In the Suwanee area, the program will be held at Sugar Hill United Methodist Church on June 25-29. (See attached flyer.) Program slots will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. As of the end of May, there were over 150 reports of entering auto this year in the Dacula area. That number is lower than last year’s May total of almost 250 entering autos, but is still higher than what most of us would like.
