FBI Offers Tips for Safe Cyber Monday Shopping

Before entering your credit card number online, take steps to avoid becoming the victim of cyber crime.

Just when you've had time to recover from Black Friday, it's Cyber Monday -- a day for shopping from the comfort of home. While avoiding crowds and getting great bargains is enjoyable, Cyber Monday can be full of hazards for those shoppers who fail to take the proper precautions. The Federal Bureau of Investigation offers several tips to make your Cyber Monday shopping experience safe and enjoyable: If you do end up as the victim of an online scam, you can file a complaint on the Internet Crime Complaint Center website.

How do you do you do your shopping for Christmas gifts?

Every year there is an increased drive to get shoppers into stores. Black Friday now gets an early start on Thanksgiving Thursday, Buy Local campaigns push Small Business Saturday shopping and technology and social media sites encourage Cyber Monday logins. The message is clear - shop early and shop often. So what is your shopping style for the holidays? Will you be shopping off your Thanksgiving meal on Thursday or Friday, supporting the small businesses in your area on Saturday or is the computer your preferred shopping mall on Cyber Monday?
