Two Die in Fiery Crash

The vehicle occupants were believed to be traveling to Lake Lanier after leaving an Alcoholics Anonymous class.

Two people are dead after an early morning crash in Sugar Hill. According to Gwinnett County Police, the one-car accident occurred on Sycamore Road a half mile north of Nelson Brogdon Boulevard (State Route 20) shortly after midnight.  The vehicle -- a dark gray BMW 740i -- was traveling north on Sycamore Road when the driver lost control, crossed the double yellow line and struck a tree. The vehicle caught fire and both the driver and passenger were dead by the time the fire was extinguished. The GCPD Accident Investigation Unit has not yet positively identified the victims due to the severity of the injuries sustained in the crash and the resulting fire. Tattooed Man Killed on I-85 Ran Out of Gas

Calvin Wilson Jr, 26, was a medical student on his way home for Thanksgiving.

The 26-year-old man who died last week after being struck by a tractor-trailer on I-85 ran out of gas on his way home for Thanksgiving, according to the Charlotte Observer. Calvin Wilson Jr. was hit and killed at about 3 a.m. on Nov. 25. Gwinnett County Police released photos of Wilson's tattoos in order to learn his identity. Wilson had very little in his pockets at the time of the accident and police requested assistance in identifying him. Wilson reportedly was a student at the Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin's Graduate School of Integrative Medicine who went by the nickname of "Cal." Mill Creek Student Killed in Weekend Car Accident

Driver facing multiple charges.

UPDATED Nov. 29 at 2 p.m. A Gwinnett County man is facing multiple charges in connection with a Nov. 26 accident that killed a Mill Creek High School student. Georgia State Patrol spokesman Gordy Wright said Zachary Morgan Holman, 16, and his sister Madison Holman, 11, were passengers in a 1998 Ford pickup truck being driven by Ralph Edward Whitmire Jr., 40, of Lawrenceville. According to Wright, Whitmire was traveling westbound on Bethany-Bowersville Road in Hart County at approximately 6:45 p.m. on Saturday when the vehicle left the roadway, hit a ditch and overturned.
