Get Out: Five Things to Do This Weekend, Feb. 18-20

Art show, fashion show, green living and a sexy young guy are on this weekend’s agenda.

Are you a fashionista or a fashion disaster? Either way, the Mill Creek fashion show may be just the event for you. Tickets are $7 at the door, reserved VIP seating is available for $15. The show is planned for Friday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. in the Mill Creek High School theatre. It’s not easy being green, but the Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center (GEHC) can help with the latest in a series of environmental education seminars. This weekend, learn more about environmental service opportunities. The seminar is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 19 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. County residents pay $10, non-residents $12. The Belly Laugh Comedy Competition will feature PG-rated comedy for ages 13 and up. Prizes will be awarded for audience favorites. Looking for a cure for cabin fever? This weekend’s offerings include a Falcons’ football party, live musical entertainment, dancing and a chance to get your finances in order.

1. Listen to an Up-and-Coming Local Artist Tonight. Atlanta native Sarah Peacock, a pop-country vocalist, is scheduled to perform at Friends in Dacula at 7 p.m. tonight. Friday night is also ladies martini night. More than 15 different types of martinis are available in a variety of unique flavors including Cherry Cosmo, Appletini and Pink Flamingo.
