How Do You Feel About Instagram Selling Your Photographs?

New terms of service kick in on Jan. 16, 2013, allowing Instagram to sell your photos. So will you be keeping your Instagram account past that date?

Instagram users got a surprise update to the terms of service this week. Effective January 16, 2013, the social media site has given itself the right to sell your pictures — whether you want them sold or not. According to Moneycnn.com, you can either agree to the new terms of service, including the one allowing them to sell your pictures, or you can delete your account. The current terms state that "Instagram may place such advertising and promotions on the Instagram Services or on, about, or in conjunction with your Content." The new terms broaden that, allowing for the sale of your pictures. This move comes three months after Facebook's (FB) acquisition of Instagram for $1 billion. Yes, I am late to the Instagram party. In all fairness, there are a lot of social media sites to explore out there and it has taken me a while to get around to Instagram. Now, as a user for all of four days, I am prepared to share my valuable insights regarding this app. What is Instagram?
