Cascade Patch recalls his activities in Atlanta community for MLK Jr. Day
(Editor's note: The following article about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and MLK Day activities appeared in our Cascade Patch in Atlanta.) Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. became a world-renown leader of non-violent social change yet -- in what we call Cascade (Atlanta) Patch -- he was once a part of the community. King led many Civil Rights student movement meetings at Paschal’s Restaurant on Hunter Street, now Martin Luther King Jr. Dr., named in his honor. At the mere age of 15, he graduated from Booker T. Washington High School and went on to attend Morehouse College.
