California Pizza Kitchen, DiGiorno Pizzas Recalled Because of Possible Plastic Fragments

Nestlé USA voluntarily recalled four different frozen pizzas because the pizza may contain fragments of clear plastic. 

Nestlé USA has voluntarily recalled four different frozen pizzas sold in the United States because the pizza may contain fragments of clear plastic, the company announced on Friday.  The recall includes: The company said in a release that it made the recall because some people had found small fragments of plastic on the CPK Crispy Thin Crust White pizza, which it said was related to a lot of spinach received from a supplier. While the company received no complaints to date on the other three varieties that used the spinach, it recalled the additional varieties out of caution. Kroger Issues Recall for Specialty Cake

Recall affects stores in Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina and Eastern Tennessee.

Kroger has issued a recall in four states for select in-store made cakes. The cake in question -- the cinnamon Mardis Gras King cake -- may have pecans not listed on the label. People with pecan allergies could have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they consume the product according to a Kroger Co. statement. For consumers with no allergies, there is no safety issue with this cake. Customers who purchased the King Cake product between Dec. 30, 2012 and Feb. 4, 2013, should return the cake to the store for a full refund or replacement. The cakes affected by the recall have a sell-by date of Feb. 7 or earlier and were sold under the UPC 4157327767.
