ReplyThanks Dave...truly appreciate your comment!
When we first started thinking about promoting healthy aging, we also experienced a "DUUUUUUHHHH" moment...lol. But we quickly realized it really was not everyone else's "obviousity", and spreading the word could have a very positive impact,
"When you know the notes to sing..." Then as we began clearing our path through the healthy aging world, we quickly realized music (near and dear to our hearts) was a terrific way to reach folks
"...You can sing most a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g." while at the same time allowing us to spread more of our healthy aging happy dust.
And that being said ... “That will bring us back to Do…" Positively speaking, Sheri & Bill

ReplyWe play and sing songs that have personal meaning to both of us--sometimes happy, sometimes, romantic, sometimes sad, but meaning nonetheless. So we love it then, when our audience connects with us and our music as either participants or as entertained listeners. Music seems to have a way of building bridges and taking down walls all at the same time...pretty amazing stuff! Positively speaking, Sheri & Bill

Great idea! And do you remember that saying "Music has Charms to sooth a savage Breast?"....lol We think then that 7th graders even at their most "jumpy" stages should succumb to the charm of music in the classroom! Thanks for the comment! Positively speaking Sheri & Bill

Thanks so much for your positive feedback! FYI we have also been reading lately about music's therapeutic benefits with Alzheimer's patients--seems it can tap in to long forgotten memories. Bottom line, we enjoy performing and sharing our love of music with fellow seniors, spreading a bit of our "happy dust" as we travel around, and encouraging them to choose a path of Healthy Aging! Yes! And your last one is a favorite of ours! It is similar to the quote we used from John Quincy Adams: "If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader." We all need to be living lives that encourage and inspire! ourselves and others to be the best we can be! Thanks again!

Thank you Laurie - more valuable input! We just have to say here that it will be one of the best efforts of our century if doctors and scientists are able to come up with a prevention and cure for Alzheimer's! Positively speaking, Sheri & Bill
