Authorities in Neighboring County Issue Alert Regarding Black Pickup Truck Following Children

A black pickup truck has been listed as the suspect vehicle in two reported abduction attempts in Gwinnett County and a third in neighboring Walton County.

Recent reports of a driver of a black pickup truck attempting to abduct children have prompted the Walton County Sheriff's Office (WCSO) to issue an alert.

Monroe Local reports the WCSO has received a report in neighboring Walton County of a possible abduction attempt involving two female juveniles.

Whether or not the incident is related to the Gwinnett incidents is not known, according to a report on Grayson Local.

The first Gwinnett incident occurred on Jan. 14 in Lawrenceville. The intended target in that case was a 7-year-old boy. A week later, a similar incident involving an 11-year-old boy was reported in Dacula.

Authorities advise citizens to report suspicious activity to 911 immediately.
