Incident one of several that occurred on Oct. 1 in Hamilton Mill.

Gwinnett County Police are investigating at least two burglaries and one attempted burglary that took place Oct. 1 in Hamilton Mill.

Just after 4 p.m., Gwinnett County Police were dispatched to an Archmont Circle home after a resident returned home and discovered the house had been burglarized.

According to the incident report, the burglar made entry to the home by breaking a rear kitchen windows. At the time of the report, the only items that were known to have been taken were several pieces of jewelry valued at $450 and a Kindle Fire.

A neighbor reportedly saw a newer black vehicle parked in the driveway of the home around 9:30 a.m. The neighbor thought the vehicle belonged to a friend of the residents. Thirty minutes later, the vehicle was gone.

A black sedan was also spotted at the scene of an attempted burglary in another part of Hamilton Mill. During that incident, which occurred on Floral Ridge Drive at approximately 10 a.m., the resident scared two would-be burglars away as they attempted to pry open a rear window.

Th Archmont Circle burglary and the Floral Ridge Drive attempted burglary cases are listed as active. Additional details will be posted as they become available.
