Gwinnett County Police are investigating multiple business burglaries in the Hamilton Mill area of Dacula.

At least four shops were burglarized between Aug. 24 and Aug. 26 -- two on Hamilton Creek Parkway and two on Braselton Highway in The Shops at Hamilton Mill.

Atl Massage, a new Hamilton Creek Parkway business which has not yet opened, was burglarized sometime between 11 p.m. on Aug. 24 and 8:50 a.m. on Aug. 26. The owner said nothing appeared to have been stolen.

The officer discovered tool marks on the outer ring of the front door lock and surmised some type of pliers may have been used to defeat the lock.

An adjacent business, Tips and Toes Salon, was also burglarized. The owner told police she believes the burglary occurred between 7 p.m. on Aug. 25 and 8:50 a.m. on Aug. 26. Though nothing appeared to have been stolen, the register area had been rummaged through and items thrown on the floor. According to the owner, $110 in cash that had been left in the register area was left behind by the burglar or burglars.

The police report indicated pliers appeared to have been used to defeat the front door lock as was the case with Atl Massage.

KD Salon, located at 3523 Braselton Highway in The Shops at Hamilton Mill, was also burglarized over the weekend. The officer noted the front door locked appeared to have been drilled or punched out. The owner said $80 in cash was taken out of the register.

An adjacent nail salon, Classic Nails, was burglarized in the same manner. Though the register had been opened, nothing was taken according to the owner.

None of the burglarized businesses had surveillance cameras. All four cases are listed as active.
