Another Smash and Grab Car Break-in Reported at Duncan Creek Park
The thief escaped with a purse, iPhone and other valuables.
A Buford woman recently became the latest victim in a series of smash and grab car break-ins at Duncan Creek Park.
According to the Gwinnett County Police incident report, the woman parked near the playground on the afternoon of Oct. 27. Less than an hour later, the woman returned to her vehicle to discover the rear driver's side window had been smashed.
The woman told police she and her passenger were "not far" from the vehicle while visiting the park.
The woman's purse, which she had left under the front passenger seat, was taken. The purse contained her iPhone 5, her wallet, driver's license, credit cards and bank card. A wallet, which the passenger had left in the center console, was also taken. The wallet contained $80 in cash, a Visa card and a prepaid Visa card.
There are no known witnesses to the incident.
